How I assist and help my clients in promoting their Facebook page posts

Many of my clients have a common requirement at times- to promote each post on their Facebook pages. Generally, there are two targetting options when it comes to Facebook Page Marketing or Social Media Marketing (SMM). The most common approach is to target the whole Facebook page and promote the page at a global level (page-level marketing). The second targetting option is to focus on a particular post on a Facebook page and promote just the post (or post-level marketing).

I would like to share a scenario when you may need to promote one Facebook post on your Facebook page. Suppose your brand has an upcoming event, and you want to take the joy of promoting it online to spread the news of the event to as many people as possible. Furthermore, you may have free seats for the event, and you would like to get them filled. For that purpose, you need more audience who will actually pay you for buying and reserving the empty seats for the event. In such cases, using post-targetted advertising approach is much more convenient. All you have to do is make a new post on your Facebook page which will highlight your event, and then, you can go ahead and promote that single post to reach a wider audience.

When I do post-level marketing, you will notice not just an improvement in engagement factor on your Facebook post, but also much improved chances of someone sharing your Facebook page post on his or her personal Facebook profile. The whole process of this marketing technique takes its time, just like any other social media marketing campaign. Therefore, I recommend my clients to avail my services for a minimum of 3 months to get best results in their post-level Facebook marketing campaign.

However, if your post is related to, for example, an event that is going to happen next week, then for sure you will be limited to only a week-long Facebook post-level marketing campaign. In that case, short campaigns also work very well. Furthermore, if you can spend a higher daily budget, then I can get you greater engagement to your Facebook post.

Now, let me discuss something general about SMM (Social Media Marketing). The more span of time you invest in marketing, the better your marketing results. From what I have observed, running a continuous Facebook marketing campaign for 6 months generally doubles the result when compared to 3-months campaign. And as always, I keep the best of expectations that my client will also do his part and actively manage their Facebook page. This is crucial. A small delay in updating your page may seem okay, but this negatively impacts the visibility of your Facebook page posts because that is how the Facebook algorithm works. The more active your Facebook page is, the better the chances that its posts will appear at the top of your follower’s feed. So, you have to actively keep updating your page with new posts, events, and photos. Oh! Did I forget to say that people love photos and videos? Yes! They do, and the more you post photos or videos related to your Facebook page post, the better engagement you will receive even when doing post-level marketing.
